High-speed sorting machines

Application where a machine counts and sorts large amounts of containers with different sizes and weights that move at high speed. The machine can handle fragile and heavy glass as well as the low weight and small aluminum cans, all at a very high speed.

At the central hubs where the high speed counting machines are used, empty beverage containers of all sorts, sizes and weights are collected in a bin. The empties travel on a conveyor and pass through a tunnel of bar code readers (imagers) that read the bar codes no matter the position on the container - in other words, they form a 360 degree ring around the empty. This way the containers don’t need to be rotated, thus ensuring high readability even in presence of damaged bar codes or deformed containers.
