Compact lens for 2D readers

Compact 2D code reader.
The bar code and bidimensional code readers available today have rather large dimensions. Consequently a custom lens with minimum dimensions had to be planned. The lens had to satisfy all the product resolution and luminosity requirements. A very compact lens was developed with 6mm focus with F/N=4 offering excellent resolution and depth of field. The lens could also have been developed with a different focus and F/N always in the same case without modifying external dimensions. The system composed of 4 lenses was developed with a smooth frame with a 6mm diameter.
